The Global Coalition of Non-Governmental Organisations (GCNGO) comprising of civil society groups, youth groups, human, civil and gender rights activists have condemned in no uncertain terms the orchestrated campaign of blackmail, calumny, falsehood, rancour and acrimony mounted against Hon Mascot Amadi lkwechegh, the Honourable Member representing Aba South/Aba North Federal Constituency of Abia State by all manner of paid contractors, party hacks, fake activists and disgruntled opposition elements, in a futile attempt to malign, tarnish and diminish his hard worn reputation in the eyes of right thinking members of society.
ln a communique signed by the GCNGO’s national secretary, Dr Jude Odumodu and made available to newsmen in Abuja recently, the group further stated: ‘We are not unaware that certain faceless opponents of Hon Mascot lkwechegh particularly at the state level are desperate to cash in on a rather innocuous incident involving him and a Bolt driver in order to score cheap, unethical and immoral political points which have no bearing with facts or reality.
The deeply unrepentant partisan elements who have gone on social media to make all manner of scurrilous allegations against Hon Mascot lkwechegh are only flogging a dead horse as the resolute federal lawmaker has since put the unfortunate incident behind him and is focused on the purposeful delivery of credible democratic dividends to the stoic and hardworking people of Aba North/Aba South Federal Constituency of Abia State.
The political jobbers and rented wailers should understand that the Aba people are solidly behind their highly focused political leader come rain, come shine as he has been fulfilling his sacred mandate to them in the roads health, education, power, pipe borne water, agriculture, manpower development and women and youth empowerment sectors.
Hon Mascot lkwechegh is the indomitable Rock of Gilbatrar who cannot be shaken by the infantile antics of a few frustrated elements who have been dumped by the political wayside as they have nothing to offer their people.
On this score we call on all patriotic citizens of Aba South/Aba North Federal Constituency, Abia State and Nigerians as a whole to disregard the failed antics of those anti-social enemies of progress and rally behind the rugged, steadfast, durable and dependable Hon Mascot Amadi Ikwechegh as he continues to do what he knows best, the constant and consistent delivery of democratic dividends to his beloved people.
