It was a day filled with joy, excitement, felicitation, Thanksgiving, and gratitude to the Almighty God as Barrister Shakaa Awashima celebrated her graduation from the Nigerian Law School and subsequent Call to the Bar having bagged a Barrister at Law (BL) certification inducting her as a full-fledged legal practitioner and esteemed member of the prestigious Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).
A visibly elated Barr Shaakaa marked the joyous occasion in the company of her family, relatives, friends, learned colleagues, associates, and well-wishers including her father, the Auditor General of the Federation Chief Kanyitor Chira Shaakaa; her mother Mrs. Hadiza Shaakaa; Chief Moses Agbe, Publisher of Star Rays Newspapers; and numerous other personalities and distinguished guests who were entertained with traditional and pop music, drinks, wine, fruit juice, fried rice, pounded yam, and assorted refreshments.
The freshly minted lawyer cut her graduation cake amidst cheers, applause, praises, encomiums, prayers, and a resounding ovation from all those present who wished her God’s bountiful blessings, divine guidance, and protection as she embarks on an ultimately fruitful, prosperous and fulfilling professional and public service career in the years and decades ahead.
On his part, Chief Chira Shaakaa, the celebrant’s father lauded his beloved daughter for making the family proud and setting a good example for her siblings, friends, and relatives noting that her hardwork, patience, resilience, and tenacity had paid off at the end. Barr Awashima is a very humble, dutiful, hardworking, and persevering daughter who is not distracted from the goals she has set for herself and her graduation from the Nigerian Law School and qualification as a lawyer and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria marks a decisive milestone in her academic and professional career. I and the entire Shaakaa family, as well as relatives and family friends, wish her all the best and the Almighty God’s divine blessings, guidance, and protection in the crucial days and years ahead.

I don’t have enough words to thank them for making this event a wonderful and fulfilling one for me and my friends who came calling. I dedicate my professional qualification as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria to the Almighty God and my beloved father and mother and l pray that they will continue to grow in wisdom, blessing, and guidance in Jesus name.
My academic studies at the Nigerian Law School were quite challenging, but l am grateful to the Almighty God for seeing me through to graduation and Call to the Bar. I am also grateful to my parents for their love, guidance, and support which made all these possible as well as all those family friends, colleagues, and relatives for their well-wishes, prayers, and solidarity throughout my academic career.
I hope to pursue my legal practice in all fields of law, be it Corporate, Maritime, Civil, Family, Petroleum, or lndustrial Law as far as it can be of immense benefit to myself, my family, the nation, and humanity at large. Furthermore, I am very grateful, happy, and overcome with joy, excitement, and appreciation and l wish everyone present today God’s divine blessings and journey mercies to their various destinations.
