Since winning his hotly contested governorship seat the ebullient Osun State governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke has sought to endear himself to his beloved people by embarking on solid developmental, infrastructural, and socio-economic projects and programs that would have a positive impact on the citizenry. The Adeleke administration is poised to deliver good governance by fulfilling his campaign promises and satisfying people-oriented needs and in this quest to dish out dividends of democracy to the people, the governor became ‘blind’ to party affiliation.
In this regard, all abandoned property and projects by the previous administration were redefined and completed. Some of the ongoing and completed projects are:
The provision of borehole water in each of the 332 wards across the State;
Construction of 20km roads;
Presentation of N518m to Communities for infrastructural development;
Imole surgical and medical outreach targeted 2000 persons in each of the nine Federal Constituencies making a total of 18,000 beneficiaries who received free surgeries;
and rural electrification projects. Other noteworthy accomplishments of the purposeful Adeleke administration include:
Payment of salaries and pensions arrears from January 2016 owed by the past administration; Enrollment of 3,332 Osun indigenes on Osun Health Insurance Scheme (OHIS) to ensure adequate healthcare access for the vulnerable for 5 years; Construction of broken bridges at Bokusoro/Adeeke area in Iwo to forestall loss of life on the bridge in the past due to erosion, among other achievements too numerous to mention.
Not resting on his oars, Governor Ademola Adeleke is determined to change the state’s fortune for the better by embarking on more key projects across the length and breadth of the State to turn it into the Singapore of West Africa. To God be the glory.
