Gov. Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State is initiating policies, programs, and structural reforms that are propelling infrastructural and socio-economic development in the state. When you plan, you plan to succeed, and that is exactly the scenario unfolding in Zamfara State. Governor Dauda Lawal is a leader who takes his time to lay down plans, policies, and programs for the benefit of the people.

For instance, he has spent his first 100 days in office restructuring and repositioning ministries and agencies to put Zamfara State on the right path. He is not there to complain about the past but is taking concrete steps to address core issues, he has cut down waste and trimmed the number of ministries and agencies to reduce government spending and make them more efficient thus ensuring more responsive and credible service delivery.

And with what Governor Dauda Lawal is doing right now in Zamfara, the people are beginning to see positive changes. In terms of infrastructure, Governor Dauda Lawal is paving the way for the rapid development of the state. He is transforming the educational sector, building world-class primary and secondary schools around the state. There is a difference in manner or character between a student in a comfortable classroom and a student sitting under a tree. But if you combine the two you will have great students that will have good character, good manners and all round educational, social and moral development.

Given his credible performance, all and sundry within and outside Zamfara State should continue to support him to achieve the laudable objectives of his administration.

Governor Lawal thinks that his administration’s unwavering dedication to the Urban Renewal Project, is steadfastly engaging in a rescue mission, and it is going to be the first of its kind. He therefore appeals to the patience and understanding of the residents of Gusau as genuine development comes with temporary inconveniences, but the results will far outweigh the difficulties.

In his commitment to curb the lingering insecurity, Governor Dauda Lawal has approved the recruitment of civilian JTF in all local government areas of the State. Over 300 civilian JTF would be recruited in each local government area of the State. The recruits would undergo rigorous physical training that would prepare them to assist the security agencies with actionable intelligence to combat insecurity. Governor Dauda Lawal has revived school feeding in 10 Senior boarding schools across Zamfara State to commence from the 2023/2024 Academic Session.

His Excellency, Governor Dauda, has approved and released 150 billion Naira for the project as State counterpart funding and in collaboration with the World Bank to empower young girls in and out of primary and junior secondary schools through the Zamfara State Adolescent Girls Initiatives For Learning And Empowerment Additional Financing (AGILE AF).

Within a few months of his administration, Governor Dauda Lawal has organised a Special Modified Medical Outreach Programme to address critical healthcare needs and improve people’s quality of life. The organised Medical Outreach provided free medical services to people with cases of cataract extraction, groin swellings (hernias, hydroceles), vesicovaginal fistula repairs (VVF), and health education.

This is the first time such a thing has happened in the history of Zamfara that the State Government is engaging in a free medical outreach that covers such critical areas; the ongoing modified outreach utilizes tele-screening for patients from rural and semi-urban areas to provide specialist care to people in need in all the 14 local government areas of the State. Governor Dauda Lawal has also commenced renovating and furnishing hospitals across the State and a massive supply of drugs to boost health care with the construction of a solar borehole with an overhead tank in General Hospital Bakura.
