In her own complementary and uniquely compassionate role, the Gombe First Lady, Hajiya Asma’u Inuwa Yahaya has emancipated numerous women, youths, widows, the infirm, the indigent and other vulnerable segments of society through her benevolent Jewel Care Foundation (JCF). For instance in May 2020, the JCF empowered over 500 women under the Capacity Building/Empowerment Programmes (CBEP) of her office at a two-day FCMB Sheventures and Gombe State Women in Business Conference in conjunction with the Office of the First Lady of Gombe State. The over 500 female entrepreneurs, upcoming small and medium scale enterprises and women in business benefited from the Capacity Building and Empowerment Programme initiative.
Also, thousands of women, youths and other vulnerable segments of society have benefitted from the empowerment Programmes of Hajiya Asmau Inuwa Yahaya ranging from cash gifts, skills acquisition, training, distribution of assorted kits, sewing machines, hair dressing items household and conventional materials as well as provisions of food items as the benevolent First Lady believes in uplifting those in dire need of empowerment, emancipation and enlightenment.
Thus, a compassionate Hajiya Asma’u Inuwa Yahaya altruistic bonding with the women, youths and other vulnerable is crucially advancing the socio-economic welfare and well-being of the vulnerable segments of Gombe society. According to the benevolent First Lady of Gombe State: “The first lady’s office will continue to assist women with what it takes to improve their livelihood by developing their potentials to become financially self-reliant. We will not only put food on their table, but also provide them with requisite skills and knowledge on how to make ends meet.’
No doubt, Hajiya Asmau Yahaya is putting not only food but also smiles of joy and happiness on the faces of Gombe women, youths and children.
To God be the glory.
